Clients frequently ask me where the name Beaufort 5 comes from.

When I created the company, I was looking for a powerful name that would reflect my independence and dedication. It was autumn, and the weather forecast announced 5 Beaufort, which stands for a 'fresh breeze with waves taking a more pronounced long form'. This definition reflected the new path that I was taking, and so the company name was born.

My experience in corporate real estate is formed by three years of service at Jones Lang LaSalle and the 10 years at Cushman & Wakefield where I was Partner.  Adding the years with Beaufort 5, this makes more than two decades of solid foundations on which my experience of professional real estate is built.

I’ve been living in Brussels for 30 years, a city that I love for its multi-cultural mix of people and languages.  When I am not working, I love to spend time with the family, to hike in our beautiful nature, to find a balance through yoga, and to enjoy our local produce – a Belgian Trappist beer and a good meal.
